The latest Commonwealth Bank-KangaNews survey on ESG in Australian Private Debt suggests that ESG is an integral part of an investors’ investment process. At the private debt roundtable, investors debated the material pricing differences which are emerging and the growing focus to understand ESG risk as credit risk. Portfolio Manager, Lucie Bielczykova, says that pricing differences between high and low emitting sectors have been a feature of the market for a while but there are now increasingly “very material differences” in pricing even within sectors in the private debt market.
